Arai Helmets

Hirotake Arai was a hat maker in Japan in the 1900s. A keen motorcyclist himself, he started developing helmets for motorcycles and the journey to the Arai we know today began. With an almost cult-like following in the motorcycle industry, riders swear by their helmets. It’s easy to understand why, as each helmet including their entry-level models is hand-made in Japan.

All Arai helmets have a similar ‘egg-shaped’ look to them. That’s their safety philosophy, where the lack of edges and angles helps the helmet ‘glance’ on impact, offering further protection.

Fun Fact: You’ll often see Drudi Performance written on the chin bar of an Arai helmet. This means it’s been drawn by legendary helmet designer Aldo Drudi, the man behind Valentino Rossi’s helmet designs.
